Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 cups White Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 3 Tablespoons Boiling Water
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 3-1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Dissolve baking soda in the boiling water.
  3. Add molasses, soda in water and eggs.
  4. Stir dry ingredients together; add slowly to wet ingredients.
  5. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes.
