Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Chill the dough for approximately 1 hour.
  3. Roll the chilled dough into small balls.
  4. Roll each ball in sugar to coat.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
