Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups uncooked oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Beat together butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup until light and fluffy.
  4. Blend in egg and vanilla.
  5. Add oats and chocolate chips; mix well.
  6. Press the mixture into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool and then cut into bars.
