Ingredients

  • 2 cans cut green beans
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 2 Tbsp pimento, diced
  • 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned green beans and add fresh water.
  2. Simmer the beans in a saucepan for 15 minutes.
  3. Cut the bacon into 1/2-inch strips and fry until crisp.
  4. Add the cooked bacon to the beans.
  5. Add diced pimento to the bacon drippings in the pan.
  6. Stir in red wine vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and dry mustard.
  7. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until well blended.
  8. Pour the sauce over the beans and bacon, then mix well.
