Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1/3 c. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 6 small onions
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the green beans into thin slivers and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Allow the cooked beans to cool.
  3. Slice the small onions into thin slices.
  4. Mix the salad oil, lemon juice, salt, sugar, paprika, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Add the sliced beans and onions to the mixture.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for several hours to develop flavor.
  7. Serve as a salad or relish.
