Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh rosemary or 1/2 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh basil or 1/2 tsp. dried basil

Instructions

  1. Place green beans and water in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil; cook, uncovered, for 7 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  3. Drain the green beans.
  4. Add butter, chopped onion, chopped celery, minced garlic, minced fresh rosemary, and minced fresh basil.
  5. Cover and cook for 4 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
