- Halve or quarter green peppers and remove seeds.
- Parboil the peppers for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Brown chopped onion and ground beef in fat.
- Add chopped tomatoes, corn, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture.
- Arrange the green peppers around the edge of a casserole dish.
- Pour the meat mixture into the center of the pepper ring.
- Bake the casserole at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
- Top with 4 to 5 slices of white bread, cubed and coated with melted butter.
- Brown the bread in a 425°F (220°C) oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
