- Prepare the lime gelatin according to package instructions.
- Chill until it begins to get firm, about 1 hour, but do not let it become completely firm.
- Drain juice from the pineapple into a small saucepan.
- Add marshmallows to the pineapple juice and melt completely.
- Mash the cream cheese with a fork in a large bowl.
- Add the melted marshmallows and pineapple juice to the cream cheese and mix thoroughly.
- Add the crushed pineapple and mix well.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Whip the cream until it begins to thicken.
- Add the partially set gelatin and whipped cream to the mixture and blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a large (13 x 9-inch) glass pan.
- Chill until the salad is firm, about 2-3 hours.
