Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 200 grams apples
  • 15 grams yeast
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. jam or honey

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk.
  3. Mix in the egg, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Cover and let stand in a warm place to rise.
  5. Add the chopped and pared apples to the batter.
  6. Allow the batter to rise until it has doubled in size.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto a hot griddle or pan.
  8. Fry both sides until the pancakes are nicely browned.
  9. Serve the griddle cakes spread with jam or honey.
