- Remove any visible fat from the ham and place it in a shallow dish.
- Combine ginger ale, orange juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, cider vinegar, dry mustard, ground ginger, and ground cloves to make the marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the ham and let it marinate at room temperature for 1 hour or refrigerate overnight, spooning marinade over the ham several times.
- Remove the ham from the marinade, reserving the marinade for brushing.
- Place the ham on the grill 4 to 6 inches from the coals.
- Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once or twice, brushing with the reserved marinade.
- Serve the grilled ham with the remaining marinade as a sauce on the side.
