Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups instant grits
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons freeze-dried chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Pour boiling water over instant grits.
  3. Stir until well blended.
  4. Fold in shredded Cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Add beaten eggs and optional freeze-dried chives.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
