- Fry bacon until crisp.
- Remove bacon and pour off half the bacon fat.
- Fry garlic until fragrant, then remove and discard.
- Fry green onions in the same fat until tender.
- Remove green onions and add to bacon.
- Spread beaten eggs on the bottom of the pan as if preparing to make an omelet, then remove to a plate.
- Add cooled cooked rice to the pan and stir until all grains are coated with grease and not sticking together.
- Add bacon, green onions, and diced ham, then mix well, scraping the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking.
- Turn heat to low and add chopped egg pieces.
- Add canned shrimp and stir to combine.
- Remove from heat and serve.
