Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pimento, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. diced, cooked ham
  • dash of paprika
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Saute green pepper in margarine in a saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and saute for about 1 minute.
  3. Remove green pepper and mushrooms and set aside.
  4. Stir flour into the pan liquid, then gradually add milk and cook, stirring, until thickened.
  5. Add diced ham and heat through, then add green pepper, mushrooms, and pimento.
  6. Heat gently, stirring to combine.
  7. Add paprika and salt to taste.
  8. Serve over noodles, rice, or biscuits.
