Ingredients

  • 4 ham shanks
  • 1 lb dry kidney beans
  • 1 lb dry navy beans
  • 1 lb dry split peas
  • 4 large onions
  • garlic

Instructions

  1. Crock-pot ham shanks for 24 hours on low.
  2. Remove shanks from the crock-pot, save and chill the stock.
  3. Remove fat from the stock.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients (beans, split peas, onions, garlic, Tabasco) to the stock in the crock-pot.
  5. Cook for 24 hours on low.
  6. Add the meat from the shank bones before serving.
