A sweet and tangy raisin sauce with warm spices, perfect for enhancing the flavor of ham and suitable for festive or casual meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

Instructions

  1. Boil raisins and water for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix dry ingredients (brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, ground cloves, dry mustard, salt) and add to raisins and water.
  3. Continue cooking on medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add vinegar to the sauce.
  5. Stir well to combine.
  6. Serve hot on ham.
