Hamburger Cornbread Pie(Casserole)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans (chili style best)
  • 1 box Jiffy mix cornbread mix

Instructions

  1. Brown meat; drain excess grease.
  2. Add cooking oil and onions and cook until onions are clear, about 1 minute.
  3. Add seasoning and tomatoes.
  4. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Then add beans and heat. Put in very large oiled baking dish or large skillet and top with cornbread batter.
  6. Bake at 450° for 20 minutes, or until bread browns.
  7. Good on cold days.
