Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a 1-quart freezer bag.
  2. Close bag; mix ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Open bag occasionally to expel air.
  4. When mixed thoroughly, snip one bottom corner with scissors about 1 inch.
  5. Squeeze dough onto a baking pan.
  6. Sprinkle tops with flour; pat down to desired thickness with a fork.
  7. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes at 425°F, or until brown.
