Hawaiian Toasts are a delightful combination of sweet pineapple, savory ham, and melted cheese, topped with curry spices—perfect for a quick, flavorful snack or brunch treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices toast
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 slices lean cooked ham
  • 4 pineapple rings
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. curry powder

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on each slice of toast.
  2. Place a slice of ham, a pineapple ring, and a slice of cheese on each buttered toast.
  3. Cut each assembled toast into four pieces with a sharp knife.
  4. Place the pieces on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle with curry powder (and allspice if desired).
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until golden and heated through.
  7. Serve warm.
