Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 3/4 can cream
  • 1/4 c. cocoa

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and cocoa together.
  2. Add cream, margarine, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
  3. Test the candy by dropping a few drops into cool water; if a ball or lump forms, it is ready.
  4. Remove from heat and add peanut butter.
  5. If no lump forms, cook 5 to 10 minutes longer, then add peanut butter.
  6. Pour the mixture onto a buttered platter.
  7. Chill, then cut into pieces and serve.
