Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey or lean ground beef
  • 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
  • 3 to 4 large carrots, sliced thin
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 cup Minute rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tsp beef bouillon
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground turkey or lean ground beef in a large pot until browned.
  2. Dissolve beef bouillon in hot water and add to the cooked meat along with the seasoned salt and uncooked rice. Stir well.
  3. Add shredded cabbage, chopped onions, and sliced carrots to the pot.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat until the cabbage is wilted and the carrots are tender.
  5. Allow to simmer for about an hour if desired, without stirring.
  6. Serve hot, optionally with soy sauce on the side.
