Ingredients

  • 2 t. sea salt
  • 2 t. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. liquid smoke
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1/4 c. worcester sauce
  • 4 pounds boneless beef sirloin

Instructions

  1. Combine sea salt, garlic powder, pepper, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips suitable for jerky.
  3. Marinate the meat strips in the mixture for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat the oven or dehydrator to a low temperature (around 160°F or 70°C).
  5. Arrange the marinated meat strips on racks or baking sheets in a single layer.
  6. Dry the meat in the oven or dehydrator for about 4 hours, until the jerky is dry and chewy.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool before storing in airtight containers.
