Herb garlic bread combines fragrant herbs and melted margarine spread between slices of French bread, perfect as a flavorful side for gatherings or casual dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. rosemary
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • loaf of French bread

Instructions

  1. Mix all herbs together. Pound them in a mortar and pestle if you have one.
  2. Add 1/2 cup margarine and blend all together.
  3. Slice a loaf of French bread and spread herb mixture between slices.
  4. Wrap the bread in foil and bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until margarine has melted into the bread.
