Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups soft wheat pastry or cake flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons snipped chives
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
  2. Add parsley, chives, and butter, using a pastry blender or two knives to cut in the butter.
  3. Mix until the mixture resembles small peas.
  4. Stir as little as possible.
  5. Drop spoonfuls into chicken mixture.
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes longer.
  7. Serve at once.
