Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 (9 oz.) package None Such condensed mincemeat, crumbled
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, beat margarine and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. Add milk and flour mixture alternately, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in crumbled mincemeat and chopped nuts.
  6. Pour batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes or until a test for doneness comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from pan and serve.
