Ingredients

  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. warm water
  • 3 c. quick oats
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Cream sugars and shortening together.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla and warm water to creamed mixture; blend well.
  3. Add flour, baking soda and baking powder, which have been sifted together.
  4. Combine oatmeal, coconut and nuts together; add to mixture.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake in a 350° oven for 8 minutes, or until done.
