Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb beef flank
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice meat lengthwise with the grain into 1/4-inch pieces.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and mix with meat strips.
  3. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Drain and arrange in a single layer on a rack set in a shallow baking pan.
  5. Bake in a 150° oven or at the lowest oven temperature for at least 12 hours.
  6. Store in an airtight container.
