Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 pound chopped dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix honey and eggs together.
  2. Sift together the baking powder and flour, then add to the honey and egg mixture.
  3. Add chopped nuts, chopped dates, and vanilla flavoring.
  4. Pour the mixture onto a cookie sheet, spreading to about 1/4 inch deep.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into strips measuring 1/2 x 3 inches.
  7. Roll the cut strips in powdered sugar before serving.
