Honey-Nut Loaf
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter, at room temperature ⓘ
- 2/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar ⓘ
- 2 eggs ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 2 tsp. baking powder ⓘ
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 c. milk ⓘ
- 1 c. finely chopped almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. honey, warmed (for decoration) ⓘ
- assorted whole nuts (for decoration) ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Grease an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat butter and brown sugar 5 to 8 minutes or until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs; beat until blended.
- Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt into a medium bowl.
- Stir flour mixture into egg mixture alternately with milk, stirring until combined.
- Fold in chopped nuts.
