Hoosier Gooseberry Pie

Instructions
- Wash berries and remove stems.
- Pat dry.
- Place berries, sugar, tapioca, butter, salt, and nutmeg in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Stir frequently and cook until sugar is melted and berries are soft.
- Let cool.
- Pour into pie shell and cover with top crust.
- Make 5 to 6 slashes in the top crust.
- Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350°F and bake for 30 minutes longer.
