Instructions
- Drain peaches and save 1/3 cup syrup.
- Place peaches in buttered baking dish.
- Sprinkle with 4 tablespoons sugar and orange rind.
- Heat in oven while preparing batter.
- Sift flour once; measure.
- Add salt and baking powder and sift again.
- Work in margarine.
- Add beaten egg and peach syrup.
