Ingredients

  • 2 (17 oz.) cans apricot halves
  • 1 (29 oz.) can pear halves
  • 1 (29 oz.) can peach halves
  • 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple slices
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Drain the fruit and reserve the juices.
  2. Combine the juices and stir well, then set aside 1/2 cup of the juices.
  3. Combine melted butter and brown sugar in a saucepan.
  4. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add the reserved juice, brandy, cloves, and cinnamon sticks to the butter mixture.
  6. Stir until well blended.
  7. Arrange the drained fruit in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch dish.
  8. Pour the brandy mixture over the fruit.
  9. Microwave on high for 10 to 12 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  10. Stir the mixture twice during cooking.
