Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine the oleo, oil, cocoa, and hot water in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the sugar and flours to the mixture and blend well.
  3. Stir in the buttermilk, vanilla, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
