Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crabmeat
  • 3/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp. horseradish
  • 2 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 18 to 20 slices white bread, crusts removed

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the crabmeat, mayonnaise, horseradish, Tabasco sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, and lemon juice.
  2. Cut the bread into quarters and spread the crab mixture over each square.
  3. Arrange the squares on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Broil 4 to 6 inches from the heat for 5 minutes, or until the topping is bubbly, hot, and golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately.
