Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
  • 1 can drained tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3 dashes hot sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 2 small cans shrimp

Instructions

  1. Sauté butter, onion, and green peppers until softened.
  2. Add tomatoes, crushed Ritz crackers, salt, pepper, hot sauce, nutmeg, and thyme; stir to combine.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  4. Fold in the shrimp and cook for an additional 15 minutes until shrimp are heated through.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
