Hot sausages cooked in tomato juice with onions and green peppers, seasoned with cayenne red pepper. Perfect for a hearty, spicy meal that's easy to prepare and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 package hot or mild sausage
  • 1 can tomato juice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • dash of cayenne red pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and green pepper until tender.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the sausages.
  3. Drain the sausages and transfer them, along with the sautéed vegetables, into a crock-pot or slow cooker.
  4. Pour the tomato juice over the sausages and vegetables.
  5. Add a dash of cayenne red pepper to the mixture.
  6. Let simmer on low for 2 to 4 hours.
