  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. ground walnuts
  • 1 can apricot or prune Solo filling
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Mix ground walnuts and 1/2 cup sugar together.
  2. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter and Crisco until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add egg yolks, sour cream, and vanilla; mix until a dough forms.
