Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 cups flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix the softened margarine, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, and nuts until well combined.
  2. Divide the dough into four equal parts and roll each into approximately 1 1/2 inch diameter rolls on a floured wax paper.
  3. Place the rolls in the refrigerator until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Slice the chilled rolls into 1/4 inch slices.
  6. Place slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
