Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix together the self-rising flour and buttermilk until a dough forms.
  2. Put the dough out on a floured board and knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Pinch off pieces of dough and pull apart to make pieces big enough to roll out to the size of a tostada shell.
  5. Roll out each piece of dough.
  6. Fry in deep fat until light brown, turning only once.
