Ingredients

  • 10 c. water
  • 6 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 6 tsp. loose-leaf black tea
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Bring water and ginger to a boil.
  2. Warm the milk, but don't scald.
  3. Add tea leaves and vanilla to the boiling water and ginger, then boil for 1 minute.
  4. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, then boil for 3 more minutes.
  5. Drain the tea mixture.
  6. Add the warm milk to the drained tea and serve.
