- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix vanilla into the milk.
- Sift together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and vanilla milk to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients, mixing after each addition.
- Pour the batter into two greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
