Inez'S Pineapple Walnut Cake
Ingredients
- CAKE ⓘ
- 2 cups white sugar ⓘ
- 2 well beaten eggs ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract ⓘ
- 2 cups flour ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple (undrained) or (20 ounce) can pineapple tidbits (undrained) ⓘ
- 1/2 - 3/4 cup chopped walnuts ⓘ
- FROSTING ⓘ
- 8 ounces cream cheese ⓘ
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix together white sugar,eggs,pineapple and vanilla.
- Add flour,salt,soda and walnuts.
- Pour into well greased 13x9 pan, bake at 325 (glass pan) or 350 (metal pan) for 45 minutes.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter, add powdered sugar and beat well.
- Add vanilla and walnuts.
- Frost cake AS SOON as it comes out of the oven.
