Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 yeast cakes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Bring milk and margarine to a boil.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  3. Beat eggs, sugar, and salt together.
  4. Pour the milk mixture, dissolved yeast, and egg mixture together.
  5. Stir in milk.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Two hours before baking, set out in a warm spot.
  8. After 2 hours, punch the dough down.
  9. Divide the dough into thirds.
  10. Roll each third into a circle and cut into 12 wedges with a sharp knife.
  11. Roll each wedge, beginning at the wide end.
  12. Brush with egg and water mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking.
  13. Bake for 10 minutes at 425°F.
