Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sage sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bread
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add shredded Cheddar cheese to the egg mixture.
  5. Shred bread slices into small pieces and add to the mixture.
  6. Combine cooked sausage with the bread and egg mixture, stirring well.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until set and golden brown.
