Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • breast fillets

Instructions

  1. Combine salad oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to make the marinating sauce.
  2. Seal the chicken and sauce in a plastic bag and marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours, turning several times.
  3. Place the marinated chicken in a broiler pan without a rack.
  4. Broil the chicken 5 to 7 inches from the heat for about 25 minutes or until lightly browned, basting occasionally with the sauce.
  5. Turn the chicken and broil for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until cooked through and nicely browned.
