Italian Biscote are crispy, twisted cookies with a delicate vanilla or lemon flavor, perfect for snacking or serving with coffee. Suitable for all occasions.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 6 jumbo eggs
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla or lemon
  • 5 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and baking powder in a bowl.
  2. Beat together eggs, sugar, butter or margarine, and vanilla or lemon.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix together with a wooden spoon, then by hand.
  4. Roll small pieces of dough and twist.
  5. Bake at 350°F on a greased cookie sheet until golden.
  6. Frost with thin frosting.
