Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 bottle Anise oil or extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together sugar and butter.
  2. Add eggs, sour cream, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and anise extract; blend until well combined.
  3. Place the dough in a floured pan shaped in a loaf.
  4. Bake at 375°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. While still hot, cut into biscuits to desired thickness.
