Ingredients

  • 4 large chicken breasts
  • 4 (28 oz.) cans chopped Italian tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Chop chicken into small bite-size pieces, ideally when slightly frozen for easier cutting.
  2. In a large Dutch oven, add olive oil and cook the chicken until golden brown.
  3. Add a little salt to the chicken, then stir in the chopped Italian tomatoes, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Mix well, cover, and simmer on medium-low heat for 1 hour.
  5. While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti in a large stockpot according to the package directions.
  6. When done cooking, run cold water over the spaghetti to stop the cooking process, then drain well.
  7. Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce in small amounts at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  8. Serve hot with cheese, salad, and garlic bread.
