Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime peel
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds top round, sirloin or flank steak
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, lime peel, salad oil, honey, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Score the steak across the top or pierce it with a fork.
  3. Place the steak in a shallow glass baking dish and pour the marinade over it, turning to coat both sides.
  4. Refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours, turning occasionally to marinate thoroughly.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  6. Slice thinly on the diagonal and serve with lime wedges for garnish.
