James' Crab Cakes

Delicious crab cakes with tender crabmeat, flavorful seasonings, and a crispy exterior, perfect as an appetizer or main dish for seafood lovers and entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crabmeat (backfin)
  • 1 egg
  • 4 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 tsp. All Bay seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg until lemon colored.
  2. Fold in all the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Gradually add pieces of crabmeat until the mixture has a good texture.
  4. Form medium-sized crab cakes.
  5. Place the crab cakes in a large frypan with butter over medium heat.
  6. Cook until brown on both sides.
  7. Cool on a sheet of wax paper.
