Ingredients

  • 7 qt. popped popcorn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. white syrup

Instructions

  1. Bring butter, brown sugar, white syrup, and cream of tartar to a boil in a heavy pan.
  2. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the caramel over the popped popcorn, stirring as you pour to coat evenly.
  4. Make into balls or serve as is.
